This course teaches the  basic skills and medical knowledge health care workers need. Students learn how to check vital signs—blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature—and earn CPR and first aid certifications. Clinical settings include Howell Care Center, Medilodge of Howell, Kellogg Dental Office and St. Joseph Mercy (McPherson) Hospital.

In partnership with Lansing Community College, Parker Middle School offers a second-year Health Occupations course where students prepare for certification as a Long-Term Care Nurse Aide or Pharmacy Technician.
