School Improvement & Accreditation Status

HPS schools have been awarded AdvancED/Cognia District Accreditation through the AdvancED school improvement process!

Previously, AdvancED accredited schools must adhere to the established 5 Quality Standards, which are based on national best practice. Each school must also create a  a School Improvement Plan through the utilization of a building School Improvement Steering Committee with parent representation. 

Accreditation currently through Cognia correlates to accreditation through the Michigan Department of Education.
