Christy Conn
President
Mrs. Conn was elected to a four-year term in 2018 and a six-year term in 2022. She is a Human Resources consultant in Livingston County. Mrs. Conn has been a resident of the Howell Public Schools district since 2006. Mrs. Conn gives her time to the community through organizations including but not limited to Howell Rotary, Livingston County Catholic Charities, 100 Women Who Care About Livingston County, and the Livingston County United Way. Mrs. Conn is a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) for Livingston County and a Paul Harris Fellow through Rotary International. She has previously served on the Howell Mainstreet Design Committee and with the Livingston Area Human Resource Association (LAHRA), including the role of President. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University and the Lee Honors College in 2003. She also holds professional certifications in her field. Mrs. Conn and her husband Eric have three children, all of whom attend Howell Public Schools.
Mrs. Conn is the chair of the Superintendent's Evaluation and Contract Committee, and serves on the 3 (Instruction, Improvement, and Innovation) Committee and the Policy Committee.
Mrs. Conn has earned the Level 4 Master Board Member Award from the Michigan Association of School Boards in recognition of her commitment to ongoing board member development and effective governance.

Stacy R. Pasini
Vice-President
Mrs. Pasini was elected to four-year terms in 2012 and in 2016. In 2020, she was elected to a six-year term. She is a Caseworker II for the Oakland County Circuit Court/Family Division, where she has been employed for over 25 years. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Madonna University. Mrs. Pasini holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Additionally, she has completed a year-long leadership training program through Oakland County. Mrs. Pasini and her husband Scott have four daughters, whom are proud Howell graduates.
Mrs. Pasini is the chair of the i3 (Instruction, Improvement, and Innovation) Committee and serves on the Coordinated School Health Committee and the Superintendent’s Evaluation and Contract Committee.
Mrs. Pasini has earned the Level 3 Award of Distinction from the Michigan Association of School Boards in recognition of her continued commitment to board service and professional growth.

Crystal Zurek
Secretary
Ms. Zurek was elected to a four-year term in 2020 and a six-year term in 2024. She is a health education teacher in Dexter. Ms. Zurek earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and her Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Fort Hays State University. She is a member of the National Education Association. Ms. Zurek is the proud mother of a 4th grader in Howell Public Schools.
Mrs. Zurek serves on the i3 (Instruction, Improvement, and Innovation) Committee, the Sex Education Advisory Board and the Superintendent's Evaluation and Contract Committee.
Mrs. Zurek has received the Level 2 Award of Merit from the Michigan Association of School Boards in recognition of her engagement in ongoing board member training and governance best practices. |

Jason Bedford
Treasurer
Mr. Bedford was elected to a six-year term in 2022. He is a Director of Estimating for Alberici Construction and has been in the construction industry since 1999. Mr. Bedford is an active parent volunteer for the Swim Program as well as the Howell Athletic Boosters. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. The Bedford family has lived in Howell since 2006. Mr. Bedford and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, one who is a 2022 graduate and another who will graduate in 2026. Both attended Howell Schools starting in kindergarten.
Mr. Bedford is the chair of the Finance Committee and serves on the District Improvement Team and the Bond Oversight Committee.

Steve Dault
Trustee
Mr. Dault was elected to a six-year term in 2024. A resident of Howell for 19 years, Mr. Dault is deeply committed to the community and its schools. Both of his children have attended Howell Public Schools, reinforcing his strong connection to the district’s mission and values. With over 30 years of experience in management within the telecommunications industry, Mr. Dault brings a wealth of leadership and organizational expertise to the Board. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he has dedicated the past eight years to coaching the Howell Archery Club, where he has mentored students and fostered their growth in discipline, focus, and teamwork. Mr. Dault is passionate about ensuring Howell Public Schools provides exceptional educational opportunities for all students.
Mr. Dault serves on the Bond Oversight Committee and the Finance Committee.

Meg Marhofer
Trustee
Mrs. Marhofer was elected to a six-year term in 2022. She has been a Howell resident for 17 years. She brings a strong background in business and leadership to the board.
For over a decade, Mrs. Marhofer owned and operated a successful photography business, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and client relations. She holds an associate's Degree in Business Management from Oakland Community College and has completed coursework at Central Michigan University.
Mrs. Marhofer is engaged in community life and believes strong schools depend on informed governance, clear policy, and meaningful collaboration between parents and residents.
She and her husband have five children, three who are Howell alumni, and two current students, giving her a firsthand perspective on the district across multiple grade levels and generations.
Mrs. Marhofer is the chair of the Policy Committee and serves on the Finance Committee and the Sex Education Advisory Board.
Mrs. Marhofer has received the Level 2 Award of Merit from the Michigan Association of School Boards for her dedication to professional learning and board leadership.

Courtney A. Tarara
Trustee
Mrs. Tarara was first elected to the Board in 2016 for a four-year term and re-elected in 2020 for a six-year term. She has previously served as Board President and Secretary, and has chaired the Design Committee for the Howell MainStreet DDA Board. Mrs. Tarara is also an active member of the Howell Rotary and a Mentor for Reaching Higher. A proud alumna of Howell High School, she earned a double major in International Business and Management with a minor in Spanish from Northwood University. Mrs. Tarara and her husband have two children who attend Howell Public Schools.
