MacGregor's Message 1/26/18

Dear Families,

I cannot believe that we are already at the mid-way point of the school year. As we move into the second semester, I am excited by all of the positive things happening around our district. From an expanding FIRST robotics program to the upcoming expansion of our early college program and the success of the middle school advisory hour and WEB program, it is truly a great time to be a Highlander.

There are two upcoming musical productions that I know you will want to make plans to see. The first is the high school’s production of the Addams Family Musical. This show will run Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4. The second is Parker Middle School’s production of The Little Mermaid Musical which will run Thursday, April 19 through Saturday, April 21. I know both productions will be outstanding and look forward to seeing them.

Through our partnership with LOC Federal Credit Union, we will be offering Financial Reality Fairs to all eighth-grade students in the district as well as select Howell High School students. A Financial Reality Fair is an interactive learning experience that allows students to simulate managing their own expenses for a month in the real world. This is a valuable learning experience for students. Holding a Financial Reality Fair is a large undertaking that requires many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at one of the Financial Reality Fairs, please click the link next to the school’s name.
